Jennifer McCabe Gorman

As Organized Wisdom's Chief Patient Advocate, the first position of its kind in the healthcare IT and social web space, Jen manages OW's efforts to engage consumers with healthcare content using social media. Jen has covered healthcare/hospital innovation @Health Management Rx, @Nexthealth.NL, @TheHealthCareBlog, and @Healthcentral.com. Using Twitter.com, Jen aligns health/medical 'tweets' with research, contacts, and companies they need to get things done, using a custom methodology (DPSR) designed for the space.

A co-founder of Nexthealth, a 'human factor' health communications/innovation group based in the Netherlands, Jen works to inject patient-centric innovation into global healthcare research, planning, process design, and delivery. A former analyst, Ranger, Volunteer Manager and Speaker Liaison for Matthew Holt and Indu Subaiya, she is passionate about accelerating collaborative production within the Health 2.0 start-up sphere. Working regularly to connect consumers and providers engaging in constructive n=1 consumer/patient advocacy, Jen speaks at mhealth/ehealth/tech events including Medicine 2.0 and Ignite Boulder.

Prior to consulting in the Health 2.0 space, Jen served as Associate Administrator at Christ House, performing ops, HR, safety, & administrative/management functions for the DC-area 33-bed non-profit medical facility. She served as Analyst and Director during the start-up phase at The Hanover Research Council (www.hanoverresearch.com), closing the firm's first multiyear membership and cultivating HRCs early development in the hospital/healthcare vertical.
